Meet the Team

Derick Jones is a Business Services representative with and the state of Nevada’s JobConnect and EmployNV.gov.

Derick has over decade of experience in workforce services and business engagement. Prior to his tenure with the state of Nevada, he worked in special education for CCSD. He also has a background in mental health services.

Originally a native of Washington state, he has been a resident of Nevada since 2003. He attended UNLV earning his Bachelors in Psychology.

Mack Wiggins is a Business Service Consultant at the Vegas Chamber Employ NV Business Hub.

Mack has worked in the nonprofit and public sector for more than a decade. Prior to his position at the Employ NV Business Hub, Mack specialized in helping match job seekers to employment opportunities through various roles at Southern Nevada's One-Stop Career Centers.

Born and raised in Michigan, Mack earned his bachelors in business administration from Northwood University. He moved to Las Vegas in 2002.

Julie Ann has over a decade of management experience and three years of dedication in workforce development.

She is currently a Lead Business Services Consultant at the Employ NV Business Hub at the Sahara West Library and has a history of creating positive community partnerships and collaborative relationships.

Julie Ann has developed retention processes to ensure job seekers maintain sustainable employment, and helps connects employers to resources, services and opportunities.

She has a dual bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Management and has owned a small catering company.

As a Business Services Consultant at the Sahara West Library Employ NV Business Hub, LaFawn Harrison helps connect local employers to qualified job seekers. LaFawn has held operations-based leadership roles with multiple companies where she has managed $200 million budgets and hundreds of employees.

Recently, LaFawn’s focus has been in the nonprofit and workforce development sector. In those roles, she has been able to use her management background to help others succeed, both in business and life.

LaFawn was born and raised in West Virginia and holds an AA Business Administration degree from National Business College in Virginia. She lives by the motto “treat others the way you want to be treated.”
